PS280Q Music

Hello!  My name is Mrs. Dardano and I am your child's Music Teacher!  Music is my passion and has been since I was very young!  I always new that I wanted to be a Music Teacher and I am so very fortunate to be able to teach all of the wonderful young musicians at PS280Q!  I am originally from Syracuse, NY (upstate) where I went to Elementary, Middle, and High School!  I performed in all of the Musicals and concerts in my schools!  I graduated from High School and went to The Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam to study Music Education!  After College I taught for 2 years upstate near Syracuse before moving to NYC!  I went to the Aaron Copland School of Music at CUNY Queens College for my Masters in Music Education.  I love teaching here at PS280Q!  I love being able to bring my love of music and my musical experiences here to our students!  My goal is to have our students develop a life long relationship with music and to have an appreciation for music in their own personal way!  I try to bring our students new and different musical experiences through singing songs, listening to music, watching musical performances, and bringing new activites into our music classes!
